Is there a solar battery rebate in Queensland in 2026?
The Queensland Government's Battery Booster rebate is closed, so the battery incentive in Queensland is the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount: about $252 a usable kWh on the first 14 kWh for batteries installed by 31 December 2026, about $2,500 on a 10 kWh battery (Clean Energy Regulator).
For rentals, Supercharged Solar for Renters pays landlords up to $3,500 to put solar on a rental property (Queensland Treasury). Checked 1 October 2026.

How much is a solar battery after the rebate in Queensland?
Take the installed price and subtract the federal figure for your battery size. CHOICE's June 2026 pricing puts a 10 kWh battery at about $7,000 to $11,000 installed, so after the federal discount of about $2,500 you're looking at roughly $4,500 to $8,500. That's indicative; the quote is the price.
When does the Queensland battery rebate end?
The federal discount steps down every 6 months: 6.8 certificates a kWh to 31 December 2026, 5.7 from 1 January 2027, 5.2 from 1 July 2027 (Clean Energy Regulator). The install date decides which factor applies.
